It then calculates a ripeness score from 1-100 and provides specific feedback about what it observed.
How accurate is the AI analysis?
Our AI significantly improves your odds of picking a ripe watermelon by analyzing multiple indicators that are hard to assess manually. While no method (including expert human judgment) is 100% accurate, users report much better success rates after using the app. The AI is most accurate when you provide clear, well-lit photos showing the whole melon, especially the field spot.

Does the app work offline?
The AI scanning feature requires an internet connection because the analysis is performed by our cloud-based AI model. However, your saved melon history, preferences, and previous analyses are stored locally and available offline. We're exploring options for basic offline analysis in future updates.
Is my data private and secure?
Yes, we take your privacy seriously. Photos you scan are processed for analysis and are not stored on our servers afterward. Your melon history and preferences are stored locally on your device. How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

The AI is trained specifically on watermelon characteristics like field spots, webbing, and stripes. Support for other melons (honeydew, cantaloupe) may come in future updates based on user demand.
Why won't the app analyze my photo?
If the app isn't analyzing your photo, try these steps: 1) Make sure you have an active internet connection. 2) Ensure the photo clearly shows the whole watermelon with good lighting. 3) Try moving 2-3 feet away from the melon for a better shot. 4) Make sure the field spot (yellow patch) is visible if possible. 5) If problems persist, try closing and reopening the app, or contact support.
